NOTICE
CrookCounty School District #1 has anopening for a Dlstrlct Wlde Food
Service Supervisor. This position is full time, with benefits, and will be
based out of Sundance. This position reports to the Superintendent and
Business Manager of the School District
The successful candidate will have experience in menu planning, food
purchasing, preparation and servicing in an institutional food service setting.
The candidate will also have previous personnel supervision to include
experience in screening and interviewing employees. A valid driver's license,
which meets current district vehicle insurance qualifications, is required.
Experience with a school food service area, as well as experience in
budgeting, inventory control and purchasing is desirable. Education and/or
certification in nutrition and food management is desirable.
This position has, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
• Administers policies on levels of cleanliness, health, safety and
personnel policies.
• Works collaboratively with building principals in the supervision and
evaluation of food service personnel.
• Formulates all menus under mandatory USDA and State regulations.
• Supervises the ordering, bidding, and price quotation on all food,
materials, and equipment and subsequent storage and distribution of
those items.
• Works collaboratively to prepare and administer food service budget.
• Administers Nutrikids software for menu analysis, nutritional content
analysis and effective implementation of the entire Child Nutrition
Program.
• Provides in service training for food service employees and monitors
and ensures all Department of Health rules and regulations are
implemented.
• Attends state workshops to keep informed of all state and national
regulations governing food service.
• Oversees Free and Reduced meals program.
Responsible for annual Civil Rights training for all lunchroom employees
• Maintains positive communication skills in working with students, staff,
district personnel, and the public at all times.
• Recommends policies affecting food service personnel.
• Participates in district wellness/hea committees and makes
recommendations on policies affecting food service, wellness and
health.
• Routinely visits all district lunchrooms
• Organizes monthly meetings attended by the supervisor and head cooks
• Administers efficient management techniques to ensure all records and
supporting documentation are maintained in accordance with local, state
and federal laws and policies.
• Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent
