(Last Week) Friday, June 15 Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Bunney went to Casper to visit Mr. and Mrs. Norman Bunney. Saturday they drove to Saratoga, Wyo. to visit Mr. and Mrs. Chet Carlson. They return- ed home Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Fish and family, Eunice Leitner and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Fish attended the branding at Ivan Moores Sun- day. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Fish were in Belle Fourche Tuesday and had dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Nilson. John Geortz visited at the Clifford Fish home Tues- day evening until Friday morn- ing. Mr. and Mrs. George Whittig and daughter Debbie from Stough- ten, Wisconsin visited at the Joe Svoboda and Bill Pannell homes Sunday and Monday. Mrs. Whittig is the former Phyllis Collins. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Svoboda went to Rapid City Wednesday on busi- ness then visited Mrs. Tom Men- nett a t the Bennett Clarkson Hospital in Rapid City. Wilfreda and Alvin Fowlkes at- tended the 4th camp at Mallo Can- yon fro~ Monday-Thursday. Wil- freda helped with the cooking. There was about 12 inches of snow on the ground Tuesday morning. Wilfreda, Cheryl and Alvin Fowl- kes were in Belle Fourche Sat- urday afternoon, then visited and had supper at the Jerry Fish home. Mr. and Mrs. Wick Carr visit- ed from Saturday-Tuesday at the Frank Carr home. Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Btmney visited and spent the ngiht at the Walt Lawerence home in Rapid City Thursday night. Wilfred went to see the doctor Friday then had supper with Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Nilson. & Sioux City, Iowa - A total of 5,456 head of stockers, feeders and calves went to cornbelt feed- lots this week through the Sioux City Stockyards, according to figures released by the U.S.D.A. Market News Branch. This is compared with 5,841 head the previous week and 2,567 head the corresponding week a year ago. Feeder cattle closed generally $1.00 lower with cattle above 700 lbs. finding a reduced outlet. Six loads choice 431-445 lb. steers $60.- 00-$63.75, nine loads choice 533- 586 lbs. $55.20-58.10, two loads $59.- 0O. Good and choice 500-600 lbs. $53.00-56.00. Choice 606-698 lbs. $51.00-56.50. Mixed good and choice 600-700 lbs. $50.00-54.00. a week ago. Steer calves weigh- ed an average of 451 lbs. this week compared with 499 lbs a week ago. Steer calves averaged $61.01 this week compared with $54.10 a week ago. Heifer calves weighed an average of 435 lbs. this week compared with 449 lbs. a week ago. Heifer calves aver- aged $55.71 this week compared with $54.36 a week ago.
