County representatives have fun at Open House sporting their
Smokey Bear "tattoos".
On Wednesday, July 20, for the second year there was a good
showing at the Crook County Open House held at the Inter-
II state 90 welcome center near Exit 199 west of Beulah. It was
a perfect opportunity to gather information about what Crook
'a2G°(x) County has to offer and visit with representatives from around

0r the county. Guests were also treated to poetry readings by local
*22°°(cdx) author Pat Frolander.

Sundance Jr.-Sr. High School would like to announce that fall
practices for High School and Junior High School students will
start on Monday, August 15. Each student will need a physical
before they will be allowed to practice. With the exception of HS
Golf each student must have at least nine days of practice before
they can play, HS Golf must have three days of practice. We
will also be giving each of our High School athletes a baseline
concussion test before their first contact practice.
lib Volleyball will practice on Monday at 8 a.m., the girls
will start the day at the track for their mile conditioning test.
There will be a parent meeting at 7 p.m. in the gym on Monday
night.
liS Football will have equipment check out on Sunday the
14th from 4 to 6 p.m. and then aparent meeting at 6 p.m. Mon-
day practice will be from 6:30 to 8 a.m. and 6 to 8:30 p.m.
liS Golf will meet at 8 a.m. on the 15th at the golf course.
liS Cross Country will meet at 4 p.m. behind the HS gym on
the 15th.
JH Volleyball Will meet at 1 p.m. on the 15th. Sixth, seventh
and eighth grade girls are welcome to attend.
JI-I Football will meet at 9 a.m. on the 15th. Sixth, seventh
and eighth graders are welcome to attend.

Participants in the SHS All School Reunion 5k run. Chris Adams
came in first, followed by Jeremy Adams, Jaime Adams, Guy
Beaudoin and then Cayla Adams. No times were kept. The group
ran a fun race in the reunion spirit. Several people also participated
as walkers.

four-man teams competed for
trophies, Devils Tower golf
passes, and other great prizes.

Golfers attending the Family Violence fundraiser not only had a
great golf course but beautiful scenery as well.
Golfers from all over the county participated in the first annual
fundraiser for Crook County Family Violence.
