tors at Network Control in
Denver, Colo., on Aug. 20 begin-
ning at 9 a.m.
The workshop will also cover
such topics as research, broad-
cast and engineering, public in-
formation and program utiliza-
tion.

The STD project is intended to
bring career education television
programs via satellite to junior
high students. There are also
plans to add an early child:hood
development component to the
project as well as adult educa-
tion programs.
The receiving antenna which
was constructed north of the old
Stone Building here this summer
will be used to pick up satellite
transmissions for the project.
Other Wyoming schools in-
volved in the STD besides Sun-
dance and Riverton are Arapa-
hoe, Dubois, Lovell, Pinedale and
Saratoga.

School Bus Driving
Workshop Planned
A school bus driving workshop
for all Crook county bus drivers
is planned in Stmdance Wednes-
day, Sept. 4, beginning at 10 a.m.
in the old Elementary School
building.
According to State Superinten-
dent of Public Irmtructien Bob
Schxader, the purpose of the
workshops, which are being con-
ducted throughout .the state, is
to introduce school bus drivers
to the new School Bus Driver's
Handbook recently published by
the Departmerm
Workshop sesions will cover
the minimum skills and knowl-
seff3 necessary to operate a bus
y. Sessions will also include
advanced driving techniques and
special subjects such as first
aid.
Sclwader said the workshops
were designed so that topics
cmtld be adapted to include or
emphasize required practices in
individual districts.
Kelvin Clayton, coordinator of
pupil transportation and safety
for the State Departmer~t of Edu-
cation, will conduct the sessions
lasting four to six hours.
