GILLETTE, Wyo.--The Camp_o$o
bell county predatory animal dis_
trict board, composed of sheep_
men, has adopted a resolution
criticizing the action of the Wyo-
ming game and fistl commission
in withdrawing support from a
coyote poisoning p'rogram.
The board took occasion recent-
ly to condemn the action of the
state game and fish commission
in prohibiting the use of slow
poison (thalium sulphate) ill
predatory animal control program,
and to also assail the commission
for allocating funds to the federal
fish and wildlife service for pre_
datory control if no slow poison
was used.
The commission's appropria_
tion of funds to the federal agen_
cy was declared to be in opposi_
tion to the theory of the state's
rights, and declared tile control
of, be cancelled, discharged and
released of record.
You are further notified that
unless you file an answer in said
action oil or before tile 5th day of
October, 1946, that said petition
will be taken as true and judg_
ment will be rendered in accord-
ance with the prayer thereof.

The Devils Tower Homemakers
met with Mrs. Grenier Thursday
of last week to complete plans
for a float and a booth at the
county fair.
Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Hauser of
Texas and Mr. and Mrs. Strauss
of Hill City, S. D. were sight_
seeing at the Tower Sunday. Mr.
Hauser will be remembered as the
engineer in charge when the
bridge was built. He is now re-
tired and operates a fruit farm
in Texas.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Heppler
were in the community this past
week h~ving been to Alva and
Hulett also.
Mrs. Ben Wolfe received the
sad news of the death of her
aged father in Pennsylvania.
The Northwestern Construc_
tion Co. just completed a reser-
voir for Edward Hauber and a
road from the Hauber place to
Fl~ank Ehlerts. They are now
working on the Lytle Creek dam
for the Campstool.
,Mrs. ,Maggie J(~hnstone and
son Bob were dinner guests at
Mr. and Mrs. Newell Joyner's one
day this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ike have as
ranch guests, Mr. Ikes brother
and ~amily from the East.
Among Sunday visitors at the
Tower were the Meyers family of
Aladdin, ]VHckey Pollacks of
Moorcroft and the Miles families
of Carlile.
