Donald Moeller discussed a road problem on the Lake Cook Road, it will be referred to Elvin Rush. Mark Hughes & Ron Wolf gave a hospital update. A conference call was held with an Attorney for Westworld and the bankruptcy trustee, an October 30, 1987 date was tentatively set to meet with these individuals on a possible settlement on the Hulett Clinic and the hospital equipment. 12:40 P.M. The meeting was adjourned for lunch. 1:00 P.M. All present, also Elvin Rush. 1:30 P.M. Don & Terry Johnson and Billie Martin appeared in regard to the Deer Creek Road, they were informed that it is on this years agenda and the work could possibly be done this fall, weather permitting. Ralph Goodson came in to give a report on the grant requests he helped with. Raymond moved to sign a Resolution for a Mineral Royalties Grant Application for improvements to the hospital. RESOLUTION # 9-1987 WHEREAS Crook County, Wyoming, is being socially and economically impacted by population growth attributed to mining and production of coal and bentonite and the exploration for and production of oil and gas, particularly in Campl ell County, directly to the West, and WHEREAS, Crook County as initiated a project for IMPROVEMENTS to the Crook County Memorial Hospital in order to bring that facility into compliance with life safety and health regulation inadequacies cited by the Wyoming Department of Fire Prevention and Wyoming Department of Health and Human Services, and WHEREAS, the cost of funding these improvements is beyond the cvrrent financial capabilities of the County, and, WHEREAS, Crook County would apply for grant assistance from the Mineral Royalties tax account through the Wyoming Farm Loan Board: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Crook County Commission, in a meeting held October 6, 1987, hereby authorizes its consultants to prepare and file the necessary grant application. Maureen Lutterman, Gene Gade & Cheri Koehn came in to discuss a salary schedule for the County Extension Office. Each Commissioner stated his view on the starting salary. Ralph Goodson presented a grant application resolution applying for a Mineral Royalties Grant for improvements to Crook County Highway No. 93, connecting U.S. Highway 14 with the Pine Haven Road. John moved to sign the resolution. Gisele Robinson stopped in to mention that a tree needs to be trimmed by the Library, she was referred to the Courthouse Custodian. Robert Wagner came in to see about getting some road work done on the Old Moorcroft-Sundance Road, he was informed it would be considered on next years schedule. 4:30 o'clock P.M. Cecil Cundy came in to request a Special Catering Permit for the Sundance Mountain Resort, for the Ranch A Political Rendezvous, on October 10, 1987, John moved to issue said permit, Raymond seconded the motion, motion carried. Discussion was held on a health bill presented by Cecil A. Cundy in the amount of $51,436.69 for his daughter, Lisa, John moved to disallow the bill presented by Cecil A. Cundy for health benefits, Raymond seconded the motion, motion carried. Raymond moved to accept the following County Officer collections: County Clerk $4735.80 Sheriff $ 326.62 Clerk of District Court $2427.92 John seconded the motion, motion carried. 7:30 P.M. Meeting adjourned. October 7, 1987 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Frank H. Harwood, Chairman, John A. Moline and Raymond Dennis, members, and Eva J. Willey, County Clerk. Dr. Wagner, representing the VFW Post came in to discuss restoring the Veterans Memorial in the courthouse yard. Andy Thomas came in to go over the auto insurance and make some changes as requested by the beard. Ron Pulse and Dale Ruland discussed the old radio repeater on Warren Peak and possibly getting it replaced. Dale is checking on the most feasible unit and the cost. A letter was written to Mr. Dick Hartman, Chairman of the Wyoming Centennial Commission, informing him of the status of the Crook County Centennial Committee. 12:00 o'clock Meeting adjourned for lunch. 1:00 o'clocR P.M. Cecil Cundy presented the Software Agreement for Sydney Shauers for approval of the board, John moved to sign the agreement, Raymond seconded the motion, motion carried. 5:30 o'clock P.M.
