The Sundance High School Music Department wiU present
their annual Christmas Concert on Monday, December 17 at
7 p.m. This year's concert will be quite different from any SHS
Christmas concerts in the past. The theme of this year's concert
is "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and will be filled
with skits, costumes and music from the movie.
This concert will look more like a variety show than a concert.
The concert will feature all of the usual performing groups such
as the Junior High and High School Bands, Junior High and
High School Choirs, High School Jazz Choir and the High School
Jazz Combo. In addition, the SHS Drama students will be play-
ing a role in several of the skits. There will also be a special ap-
pearance by Margo Ferderer that you won't want to miss.
Music to be performed will include Ray Charles's Spirit of
Christmas, Christmas Vacation, Mele Kalikimaka, Hey Santa
Claus and many more. Come join Clark, EUen, Aunt Bethany
and Cousin Eddy for a night of laughter and music. Plan on
joining us for the Hap, Hap, Happiest Christmas Concert since
Bing Crosby danced with Danny Kay[
The band parents will be serving a chili supper in the com-
mons before the concert from 5 to 6:15 p.m. The meal is $6 and
offers chili, hot dogs, veggies, desert and a drink. Live Christmas
music will be performed during the dinner. The concert is free
and doors will open at 6 p.m.
These students were chosen as November's Lil' Bulldogs at Sundance Elementary. They were chosen because they
demonstrate the following characteristics of a Lil' Bulldog: self discipline, integrity, fairness, patriotism, respect, hon-
esty, caring, responsibility, courage and citizenship. The students each receive a Lir Bulldogs award certificate, a Lil'
Bulldogs t-shirt, an ice-cream gift certificate donated by Country Cottage/Subway, and their picture displayed on the
board outside the officeat Sundance Elementary. Hughes Law Office sponsored this month's Lil' Bulldogs.

Dear Members of the Sundance Community,
the Sundance
Bas[et is once'again gearing up co provide to those
in need. Among the many services this o ~anization provides
co the community of Sundance are children's hats and coats,
gifts for children, and food for families that are less fortunate.
The Sundance Christmas Basket has been run off of generous
donations and volunteer time for more than 20year~
We are askingyou as a community co help continue the spirit of
giving in Sundance by donating to the Sundance Christmas Basket.
As stated earlier, these funds would be used to help struggling
parents put warm clothing on their kids, gifts under the tree and
food on the table this Christmas.
